The future of wind – How innovations in wind power facilitate a sustainable future

NorthWind director John Olav Tande participated in the international symposium on the Future of Wind energy, which took place on 24 and 25 November. On the agenda were the technological developments that have already made wind energy great, but mainly what is still needed to secure the future energy supply.

Presentations were divided into four main sessions:

  • Wind Energy – What is needed for a sustainable future?
  • Wind & Hydrogen – Game changer or dead-end?
  • Floating Wind – Key technology or niche?
  • Circularity & System Design – Can wind be sustainable?

John Olav Tande participated in the floating wind session. You can view his presentation here: Research and Innovation in floating wind technology.
