On 13 June, the Research Council of Norway (NFR) announced funding for 27 new projects on renewable energy research. NorthWind partners SINTEF Energy Research and SINTEF Ocean have received funding for six new projects that will strengthen research in various areas relating to offshore wind.
These projects are:

SINTEF ENERGI AS | Reliability of eco-friendly cables in future power grids |
SINTEF OCEAN AS | Bottom Fixed Offshore Wind Turbines in Extreme Waves |
SINTEF ENERGI AS | Impact of switched voltage waveforms on power components and grids |
SINTEF ENERGI AS | Modeling a 100% Renewable Electricity System |
