The Norwegian government’s efforts for Utsira Nord and Sørlige Nordsjø II need to be substantial, says SINTEF in its responses to the consultation process which wrapped up today.
Additionally, the prequalification criteria for companies seeking offshore wind concessions should include requirements about the applicants’ plans for investments in education, research and development. SINTEF adds that clear environmental and climate requirements should be set with criteria for measurement before, during and after development.
The Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Terje Aasland (AP), launched this consultation process a month ago. The deadline for interested parties to respond was today, 6 January.
