The Norwegian government has stressed that successful offshore wind projects must have detailed plans for “the work relating to co-use and co-existence with fisheries and maritime traffic”. SINTEF invited an extended peer community of wind developers, fishing organisations and interest groups for a collaborative workshop on this topic.
The workshop setup is novel: Participants were invited to attend in person at one of the SINTEF offices in Trondheim, Bergen or Oslo for a simultaneous multi-location workshop on the topic Co-use and Co-existence with Offshore Wind.
Objectives: Sharing best practices on co-existence, new ideas about co-use, as well as outlining the critical knowledge gaps and research needs for new collaborative projects
