Co-creating Sustainability Readiness Levels: How to get ready for sustainable wind energy development

With the expected rapid upscaling of wind energy nationally and globally to combat the climate crisis, coupled with the negative consequences this will have on the nature crisis, there is a dire need to support sustainable wind energy development which incorporates the environmental aspects.

To support this, together with the wind industry and through a co-creation dialogue process, NorthWind partner NINA is developing the concept of Sustainability Readiness Levels, which extends the Technological Readiness Levels (TRLs) as a method for tracking the maturity of technologies with Societal and Environmental Readiness Levels.

We have developed a draft Sustainability Readiness Level framework based on inputs from interested stakeholders in an initial co-creation workshop in September 2022. To get feedback on the draft framework, we invited all interested in supporting the sustainable development of wind energy to join us online on 21 November.

When: 21 November, 09:30-11:30
